BasicsWhat is Boomsday?
A top-down horde-survival shooter. You play a tiny, adorable 3D model with an enormous arsenal, holding off endless waves of equally adorable enemies that lunge, spit, charge and explode. 21 player weapons, 64 perks, 54 enemy types, 12 bosses, nine modes and up to 8-player co-op in Early Access today, with more of everything on the way. It is cute. It is extremely violent. Both on purpose.
BasicsIs it for kids?
No. Genuinely, no. Despite the round little characters, Boomsday is made for adults: frequent blood, gore, and dismemberment. If the art fooled you, the first ten seconds of play will not. Rated for mature audiences.

Windows, Mac, Linux and Steam Deck right now, in Early Access on Steam. Android and iPhone builds are in active device and cross-play testing before their store release.

PlatformsWhat does Early Access actually mean for me?
The game is real and fully playable today, with everything listed above. It is not finished: Classic, Chaos, Dungeon Sweep and Death Match are complete; Defend the Shrine is in progress, RPG is halfway, Two of a Kind is almost done, and Escort has not started. More content and the mobile release are still coming. Buying now means you play now and grow with it. Prices may rise as the game fills out.
Co-opHow does co-op work?
Up to 8 players, three ways. Couch: a second controller drops in on one screen. LAN: host on your network, friends join by IP. Online: Steam invites, make a squad, ready up, go. It is host-authoritative; desktop and Steam Deck play works now, while Android and iPhone cross-play compatibility is being tested.
ControlsDo I need a controller?
No, but it is fully supported everywhere, including on phones, and you can remap everything. Keyboard and mouse work great too. Use whatever is in reach.
LanguagesWhat languages are supported?
Eleven, fully localized from the menus to the damage numbers: English, Simplified Chinese, German, French, Spanish, Japanese, Russian, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, Italian, and Polish. The screams need no translation.
SavesDoes my progress save? Is there a campaign?
Boomsday is a roguelite. A run is one session: you drop in, get powerful, and eventually die. Runs do not save partway through, on purpose. Your high scores and records persist between sessions, so your bragging rights survive even when the run does not.
PerformanceWill it run on my machine?
It is built to be light. The whole point of the technology is holding a smooth frame rate with hundreds of enemies and bullets on screen. Windows, Mac, Linux and Steam Deck are playable now; Android performance testing is underway, so we are not publishing a phone performance promise before the device pass is finished.

PurchasesCan I get a refund?
First: there's a free demo on the Steam page. Play it. It exists precisely so you never need this answer. If you bought anyway and it's not for you, purchases go through Steam, so Steam's standard refund policy applies: generally within 14 days and under two hours played, handled through your Steam account, not by us.
